Just purchased a nice looking Phal, which has several healthy looking leaves,...but one is folded over on itself, or maybe I should say curled lengthwise. it couldn't be unfolded except with severe damage. Only one leaf is affected. Any ideas?????
My guess would be mechanical. Something about how the plant was situated when the leaf grew out. You are correct in thinking it would severly damage to try to change. But, on a lighter note, it is not doing any damage to the plant. I have been known to put weights on a leaf that was growing out and not in the manner I liked. I often control how a Catt. lead comes out - to keep the plant up and down and not growing sideways.
