Good forms of skinneri are hard to come by in UK- it is only a couple which have been meristemmed by the South American nurseries which one can get. I guess that flower longevity is relatively poor compared with modern hybrids, so that they are not of much interest , but somehow species , for all their failings, have a certain natural innocence and sweetness which makes them good in my eyes. Silly old-fashioned old duffer as I am ...
However, here is Cas Luna this year, with a couple of flowering growths. Enjoy - I am.

I enjoy species too, and this one is a great clone, I saw some nice specimens in Dresden.
Nice clone Geoff.
It is really worth it when they bloom like that. Thanks for sharing, Geoff.

I love species catts,too-they have a timeless charm!
I have this clone...It is one of those plants that triples in size for me every year. I know I have blooming picture somewhere...here is mine, not in bloom. It weighs a TON!
I'm going to look for the photo of it in bloom.
