I joined this forum today to get some expert advice on orchids, and somehow got sucked into the pond section for about half an hour instead. Lovely ponds, everyone! It's nice to see what other people are doing. Here are some photos of mine. Three are from different sides of the pond. The fourth is a close up of a water lily. These blue water lilies are real thugs. They crowd out and strangle every other variety I have tried to plant. I have let them take over because they look so nice.
I live in South India where daily maximum temperatures range from about 25 to 41 centigrade. I have to top up the water level every week or so and pull out surplus reeds every few weeks. Apart from that, it looks after itself.
Looks like paradise to me. Nice work!! Welcome David!

Ah, I love water gardens...yours is beautiful!
Welcome David, What a lovely pond. Looks so idyllic.
Probably the best ornamental pond I have ever seen! AL
Wow - how wonderful! Working in your garden and pond must be so enjoyable. thank you for sharing this beautiful spot with us.
Wow what a great pond David! Add a cup of coffee and a comfortable chair on a weekend morning and it's about as perfect a spot as I can imagine. I'm jealous!

Thanks for all the compliments.

I sit in the screened-in porch that you can see under the tile roof. My seat of choice is a chair hammock that is suspended from the roof beams there. Except in the hottest summer months there are always mosquitoes around, so it is much more comfortable to sit behind the screens, rather than outside.
Beautiful, I am GREEN with Envy !!!
