Wow!; What a nice gift! This is big and very healthy looking. I can see Connie why you emphasize the roots. They are so thick on this Vanda. I look forward to the 'mystery' flowers. AL

A friend from orchid talk suprised me this weekend. Rich knows I like vanda types and found this at a local flea market. Thanks again for the amazing plant! Neither of us can find anything like it online, hopefully it will bloom soon so we all know what the flowers look like.

I have it on the far side of my porch. I have discovered my vanda types grow amazing roots when sitting over dirt. The humidity from the ground does amazing things for them. I'm hoping to keep this one thriving. I struggle with vanda sometimes. I may get this one it's own misting unit. lol
I am glad I am not the only one who struggles a bit with Vandaceous types and of course your right they LOVE humidity. I wish I had just one Vanda this big and healthy! AL
Got to love Rich! What a great orchid gift!!
Cheers,

Congrats Connie the plant and even root are in a good condition hoping it will give you very pretty flowers.
Connie! What an outstanding plant! Rich! What a guy!!
Connie, having this plant and it's 'special needs' is an excellent excuse to create a little 'vanda habitat' with a nice water feature!
Have fun! Remo
Lovely gift!! What a healthy looking plant. Looking forward to seeing pictures of the blooms.
Thank You....yes I need to share some of this. It has several keikei's. When they get large enough, and I get brave enough I'll have to remove one or two of the keikeis and share them.
