Greenhouse build.

It,s just over 6 square metres (7.3 square yards)., the 1 i really wanted was about 11 square yards but just to big to fit my garden.I,ll just have to be a little more inventive how i utilise the srea.
Height to the ridge is about 2.7 metres (just under 9 feet).

What are your temps over there...will you have to supplement heat in the winter ? Cooling in the summer ??
Oh, and that yellow tree in the back, is that a golden rain tree ??

The yellow tree behind the g/h is a common Laburnum.
Have done a lot of work today on the g/h(had to get up @ 5 am to go to work in the morning).Glazing bars have been fitted to the roof , all the glazing anti-rattle/seal has been fitted(miles of the stuff) , the g/h is fixed to the steel base , all the kickplates have been fitted.
Tomorrow if the weather holds i,ll start fitting the glazing.
Temps drop to about 20f in the winter so additional heating will be needed.
Only the cool/cold growing 'chids will be in the g/h over winter , the rest will be in the growroom.Temp in the growroom yesterday was 96f with 80% plus humidity(they seemed to enjoy it ! I didn,t).
Can,t figure out the door @ the moment but i,m so knackered it,s probably pretty obvious.
Phragenstein will fit if i place him on the floor , won,t fit if i put it on the staging

Great looking set-up Steve. Will you be using that full time? Ie will you transfer your indoor grown plants out to the greenhouse? Or will you buy more?

And you have a pretty sort of wilderness there, very lush, seems like a nice place to take a turn in.

LOL.Garden is only about 80 feet long.
Luckily my house was built about 70 years ago & they didn,t scrimp so much on space as they do now.The back of my garden has a small road for access for a horse & cart because to be able to buy a house back in the 1930,s you needed a really descent job.So you didn,t want to put your trash/rubbish out front like the rest of the plebes , hence the rear access to the gardens.
There is a large scout hut just a small distance away & about 200 yards away there is standing remains of a castle built over a 1000 years ago.
This area is well bult up & pretty busy(population of Coventry is about 400,000).

Coventry wouldn't be in the Lake District would it ?? We visited Cockermouth a few years ago...lovely countryside...and English have the right idea for lawns..cover it with flowers !

Where I come from that tree in the back ground is a golden chain tree. Not common, we pay very good money for seedlings.My thought always is, "I wonder if you can take cuttings and start that from them?" I love that tree.

Steve I am new around these parts. You are doing a great job on your greenhouse. Be patient and don't cut corners. Especially with that glaze. It's a job that we want done very quickly. Don't cheat because of it.

Where do you live? I keep mine at 70 derees all year long. What fuel will you use?

Well the basic construction is done .

I do have auto vents & auto louvres to fit but they can wait for a couple of days.Fitting the louvres means i,m going to have to remove some panels & cut them so i,ll wait till i,m not so knackered.Also i may need to do a bit of bodging .
Next i,ll need to sort out some shading.Originally i was going to have the vents on 1 side & this ment i could easily fit shading , now i,ll have to get creative.
Basic fit & finish is really impressive but i might need to do a bit of enhancing of certain areas.
Strengthening the ridge is something that will wait for 6 months or so
Hopefully next weekend should see my plants in their summer house
