    Default Bulb longissimum (collettii)

This is a trade I made last Fall.I just love it!The middle one isn't open all the way-notice the 'tongue' still tucked in but tomorrow it will be right out there with the others! I still have another bulb with 4 flowers opening on this plant but these were the first.
    Thank You Gilda!

Congratulations on blooming it ! Nice detailed picture.... It sure is weird looking...Can you post a picture of the entire bloom ?? No blooms on mine...
Let me know how long the blooms last. If it is only a week or two....my last division will be up for trade !

Hey Pete ! See what yours will look like !

    Very cool (ie, weird) Jane!

It looks like a cross between a jester and a Papal guard.

    Thanks for posting!

Nice flower Jane! What's the smell like on this one? How big are these flowers btw?

Love your description of it Julie!

It is weird, but I really like it. The colors are so cheerful. I never think of Bulbos as cheerful. This one is.

    Very nice.

Just for you Gilda--I didn't know that you hadn't bloomed it.It's a little hard to see but all those little 'tufts' at the top just tremble with the least little bit of movement. It was hard to take a pic outdoors & I had to shut down the fans inside the greenhouse so that it wouldn't be too blurry. It may not last too long as the other group of flowers I mentioned are really opening more within the past couple of hours.

Smell Tim? I didn't notice now I'll have to run out & check.
No-- not that I can tell but I'll keep sniffing for a few days & if I detect one , I'll let you know.

Thanks Jane for the pic..it looks like a pic I had seen before ,but the color is brighter on yours....I don't think I give mine enough light ,and I probably give it too much water...your bulbs look shriveled and the plant looks a lighter green... I probably need to stress mine some.
