Default 2 of our water gardens

We have 4 actually....one is a black water trough that we don't use anymore...it holds extra water plants and fish ,and sits at the corner of the flower garden.... it looks pretty when the lotus stand up and bloom... I will take pics of that later.

Our 2 round water gardens are made from liquid cattle feeders...the top pond has the larger water fall and this spills into the lower one. At the time these were put in...we spent a lot of time on the deck, so we designed them for that. We have a varitey of water plants....papyrus, pickerl rush, and water lilys....
not much blooming at this time of the year...
First pic is the waterfall, second pic is water falling into lower pond and fish wanting to be fed ! 3rd pic is view from our deck .

Wow! The designs and lushness of the plants around them are fantastic... so is the colour on your fish! The view from the balcony is superb. Great job!

    Cheers

That is way cool, Gilda. It's not an easy task, sinking a premade tub and landscaping around to make it look natural. Usually the lip of the tub sticks up and out enough to make it visible and obvious. You guys did an awesome job with this!

Are you running some kind of filter, or just the recirculating pump?

    Thanks guys,
Louis, It is just a recirculating pump....John has coarse screen over the pump to keep debris out of it.....but no filter for the water...Once you get your "balance" of plants, fish, etc. the water stays very clear !

John did dig those holes by HAND...he was much younger then

For the rectangular pond,,,,,he had a backhoe dig it......older and wiser !
