This phal was given to me by the grower in exchange for a cattleya that developed black rot in the first 2 days I had it. The catt was nice, but I think this more than makes up for it! (One probably silly question: what does Dtps mean?)

Wow - thank you everyone for the feedback! Okay, so it's a Doritaenopsis.... (sounds funny to me) - what does that mean? Is it different from a usual phalaenopsis, a cross hybrid? I'd love to know. By the way, two of the partially-bloomed spikes have developed bud blast - very disappointing and I'm afraid it's going to destroy all the lovely buds left. I know orchids can be finicky about being moved from a greenhouse to a windowsill, etc, but I have 7 phals that never did that and this one is in the same place and been treated with the same conditions, so I don't know what to do. It's in a southern window, indirect exposure, watered once and left to drain completely before replacing, and I leave the sliding glass door screen open during the night, so that my orchids get plenty of humidity and air circulation from about 9 pm to 9 am. The temps where they are are about 73-74 during the day, and 65-75 a night, depending on the weather here in Atlanta. Any ideas what I might be doing wrong? I've had it about 9 days.
