    Default Paph. concolor var. longipetalum

    Hello,
This is a single growth plant that I got from a local vendor 2 years ago. I will cut the flower off soon to give the plant a better chance to succeed.

Very very beautiful! It looks like a healthy and a happy plant, so why are you thinking on cutting of the flower!

Great looking slipper orchid! I hope the plant isn't having trouble. It looks like it might just need a repot out of that wet moss. Hate that you will loose the spike and bloom, but glad you were able to get a photo to share.

    cheers,
    BD

    Hey,
The plant has good roots and is doing fine. I don't like to leave flowers on single growth Paphs for very long after opening. I wait until I have a several strong growths until I let them bloom for extended periods.... Just my preference.

Interesting! I had been wondering about this myself, as I just bought myself my first paph recently and I'm not quite sure what to do with it, in all honesty. I'm a cattleya grower, so these paphs are quite alien to me
