No Dig Pond!

Ok, this is basically to show that you don't have to dig the garden to have a pond. There was basically an empty corner that was just going to be not used so coupla bricks, some pond sheeting, and voila!

And to get others to realise that their ponds aren't terrible at all, I mean it's gotta be better than mine and so post those piccies!

The first pic is the pups inspecting the 'pond'



The next pic is the finished product, I just need more plants or for the plants in it to grow:-



So, is it deep enough to grow water lillies in it???

I love it. I've always liked these above ground ponds. That's a really good example of how small can be very cool.

I would assume it's about 12 inches deep? You probably good grow a Helvola or tetragona water lily. These are minis and very, very nice. I also think that some of the small blue/purple tropicals might work. Daubin comes to mind.

Now you need a catfish in there.

That is the most beautiful dog waterer I have seen ! Try the mini lilys,etc like Kev suggested and they should be quite lovely....a standard size lily will consume your pond !

Water hyacynth doesn't get that big and floats on top; I'll bet you could grow a couple of those in there no problem.

Are you using any kind of pump to move the water around a little? (I'm a big fan of water movement--it really helps things do better, much as air movement helps orchids....)
