Poor Geoff! All that Chablis to drink by himself. Good thing he has these beautiful orchids to keep his cheer up!

It's not a show-stopper , and even if I wait in the hope more spikes will have all flowers open ( there are 13 spikes so far, and every day more ) remember that each "daisy wheel" is only about 2cm overall. But I like it - so there !
I have wondered who Roxburg is or was ( I remember finding a jewel orchid somewhere - , specific name the same |( roxburghii) and wondering how it managed to survive growing on the floor of a very dark jungle - 33 Lux - maybe that's a foot candle and a half or even as many as 3 fc ? - the plant only an inch or two high ( was it an Anoechtochilus perhaps ? or did the genera begin with a G ? - can't remember )- why was it not buried when a few deciduous trees shed their leaves? - answer it grew at a fantastic rate ! I came home and moved my jewel orchids under the bench where I needed a torch to find them ( exaggeration) - and they started doubling in size every week ( another exaggeration - but you get the idea ).
How did I get here ? A great digression... The truth is, here in England it's Wimbledon fortnight ( All-England Lawn Tennis Championships.) All the ladies of England are glued to the tv from noon till midnight ...all they can talk about is "Venus was beaten", "Roger is a set down" " Andy is through in straight sets"... A mere male, I got my own dinner - a nice salad, and a lemon souffle I made this morning, thank you - but drank rather a lot of Chablis.: once it's been opened, you know it won't keep.. I think I'll go and lie down now.

When I visited in 2009, I toured the Wimbledon greens. Very nice place, but I think I would rather have a lemon souffle and some Chablis with you Geoff and talk orchids. This one is a beauty.
Cheers,

I'm not into wine....but i'll take a nice glass anyday over tennis (or any other sport for that matter...except maybe horses). Who cares about chasing the little ball around when you have pretty flowers to tend to. lol I'm with you...
Very nice blooms. I was just running through some name changes for Bulbophyllum today and I found the synonym for this plant - Bulbophyllum sikkimense
Cheers

very neat plant and flowers, love it!
Small plants but relatively big flowers, nice.
