Not anymore. We did it back in 2003 or 2004, but I don't think it was extremely expensive. Less than 50 US if I remember. Pretty blooms you have on that phal orchid!

    cheers,

Thanks guys, i checked it out and it said 10 pounds on the downloadable rego form. Problem is, i dont know the vendor i got it from! I might just go ahead with it anyway, and i have one name in mind, and i just need the second.

If it is Pink Twilight, it is a registered cross...and it does look like some of the Pink Twilight pics I pulled up, so I am thinking maybe you just have a very vigorous cultivar of that grex.

Im not too sure, the guys at society were very scepticle. They said the lip didnt mach up first and foremost, and that the 'Pink Twilight' hybrid usually has multiple spikes, but never this many blooms on a single one. Even the vendor wasnt too sure...he grew them for general pot plant purpose.

Sometimes, Jordan, you have to just admire beauty for beauty's sake. This might be one of those times. What a lovely and magnificent plant!

What a fantastic display! Congratulations Jordan.
I agree with both Amey and Kathi on the nomenclature. Remember that an orchid hybrid can look very different from each other, they could have been created at different times with different cultivars of the parents, even within the same cross as you know there would be a lot of variations . Unless it was a clone then you would expect it to be identical or at least very similar to the original plant.
Anyways, if you're interested you could do some more research on the 'Pink Twilight' grex on the RHS website and try to see what are the different species in the parentage, if you find that it has a great percentage of schilleriana, then I think you should take this as a confirmation

The lady that bought it off me is an NZ expert in phallies and said this was the best flowered 'Pink Twilight' she had ever seen, and was astonished when i said i wasnt a candidate for show champ! I took her comment as a confermation of the ID though!

    Here you go
Orchid judges can be very fussy, they look at a list of criteria that should match a particular standard...
Most important people love it and it remains a fantastic blooming phal!
Well done on your deal Lol
