Well, a friend returned from a sojourn in the jungles of Asia, ok ok, so it was Singapore but hey anything exotic is all good!
So I got pressies and they are:-
Yep little individual orchids in a mini flask. Hard to see, with such a terrible picture but they are in there.
Anyone had any experience with these? Should I keep these somewhere warm, note, it is winter down yonder and last night was another 8 degrees celsius! The little ones are only halfway up the flasks so I think I will leave them till they at least grow the full size of the flask!
How much light to give these? Oh I am so worried es after the disaster with the deflasking of the paphs
Cheers
Tim
Timmy has BABIES to take care of! Sweet!
Tim, is it one plant per bottle, or are those really flasks of 20 odd plants in each container?
Yeah, but look at the packaging of Tim's babies...most only get hats from hospitals!
Julie
Good luck, Dad!
There's only one plant in each flask, I'll try and take better pics to show what it looks like...
I've seen some of those at the shop and oh boy, they are expensive!! I think much of the money goes for the packaging, not for the plants.
I can see they are sun loving, warm loving babies, Tim, especially Miss Joaquim . Good luck!!
ok, here is Vanda Miss Joaquim in its flask-elette.
And thanks for letting me know that they are expensive Tanya, now I have to get my mate a nice bottle of wine as oppose to a $5 cheapo heheheh...
Cheers
Tim
Oh.. I meant to say they are expensive here in Hong Kong, maybe they are cheaper in Singapore? . It seems that there are more than one Miss Joaquim in that flask. But.... I don't know, looks like the leaves are flat, not round.
