Can't wait to see your vanda in bloom!
Cathy, that sounds great. I would certainly love to go there with you. That must be beautiful, a greenhouse full of vanda's. Post some photo's for me than. It's not as nice as going there life, but it will do.

I wish I would have taken a camera, Willeke. I did buy a few plants. I was looking through the old plants and found a few interesting crosses. Only one in bloom, Ascda. Kultana Gems. I'll post a picture later. I think people are probably sick of me posting. I just have a bunch in either spike or bloom right now.
If you ever get to Florida...I will take you all over my area. Many growers and within about 45 to 60 minute drive

So you did buy some new ones already. Sounds good. I never get sick of you posting. It's always nice to see what you got in bloom. You have so many lovely Vanda's.
How is Florida at the moment. No trouble yet from the tropical storm Emily. I hope not. Keep us posted with your new additions.

It's getting ready to storm! Of course, I just finished spraying fungicide. It never seems to fail....wash the truck, fertilize, fungicide...it will storm

Hi John,I would first make sure it is getting sufficient water. The roots need to be a bright apple green and not mottled. You will know by the color of the roots that they are well watered when they turn from silvery white to bright green.

I water mine several times a day.

As the plant gets older it will shed old leaves. I would still think it is a hydration issue.

Can you take photos and post?

The color on this vanda bloom is so intense. Beautiful photo and orchid bloom, Cathy. For me it is slippers and cattleyas, but I do love my vandas and they come in third place for me. haha...

    cheers,
    BD
