Gosh, sounds like Mike *needs* a greenhouse over this koi pond to help protect his lovely investment. And having Naoki's vandas hanging in there will certainly cut down on the electric bill. I mean, no need to run those big lights inside anymore - and think of the reclaimed space inside!! what you guys could do in there with all that design skill. hahaha... And, no need to move to Florida any longer so there is a big plus too...

    cheers,
    BD

Cathy, I will tell him. As a matter of fact, I asked him if it is time for him to re-visit his mom, who lives in Spring Hill. I know for sure he can get it done in a day. Seriously! He does not waste any time.

Bill, thank you. When I was a child in Japan, I remember koi came to me as I clapped my hands. As of today, I tried many time, but no response yet. Hmmmm.

Thank you all. I will make sure I pass those compliments from you all to Mike. He will be pleased. As you might have noticed that there is Jamie, Scottie dog. He loved to drink out of the pond. During the freezing winter, when the top of the pond gets frozen, he loves to walk over.

Lovely pond and beautiful fish, here in New England my neighbor has to put a heater in the pond in Winter to keep from freezing solid and but then he has to watch out for Snowy Owls feeding on his hibernating fish! Same problem, different predator. I think a greenhouse would be a brilliant and beautiful addition to your pond.

    Cathy, nothing has changed.

Btw, Mike has been planning our move to Florida these days. He has even designed his next pond and the house must be "U" shape so that he can build an atrium with Koi pond and Orchids. I just rolled my eyes and walk away. LOL.
