Hahahahaha. I definitely think you should have more, Pat, living in sunny Florida. There's just so many to choose from.

@angela...beautiful hibiscus (in tagalog we call them "gumamela") how do you take care of them? My garden used to have a number of hibiscus but it was always infested with ants and then it just turned downhill for them. Any tips? thanks
It's not the ants but the aphids that attract the ants. The young tips that bear the flowers will shrivel and turn black, new leaves become deformed. You can use Malathion if you can bear the smell. I just use an old toothbrush and some water, and sometimes just my bare fingers to rub off the aphids.

Plant them in the sunniest area of your garden. They can never get enough sun or so it seems. No sun, no flowers.

Thank you Jonada. I wish I could send you some cuttings though. ;-) Some of mine are planted in pots and I occasionally take them indoors as ornamentals. There's a photo of three pink hibiscus blooms against a dark blue wall. That one was taken in our dining room.

You are welcome, Patty. The pleasure is all mine. That golden yellow one with a very pale lavender center is not that common.

Thanks Trevor. I just wanted to give these "gumamelas" as we call them, the attention they deserve. It's just that they're so common in the Philippines that we tend to take them for granted.

Mine too Pavel. And that double-skirted dark red variety, I just love its redness, almost bloody red.

Tropical indeed, Willeke. So is your hibiscus in a greenhouse? What color is it?

Thanks Leaf Mite. We have such a wealth of hibiscus in the Philippines it's a challenge or even impossible to have a collection of all of them. I only have a handful. I don't even have a white hibiscus, only one double hibiscus, and one double-skirted. Wish I had more space so I could plant more hibiscus.

I only have a pocket garden Al. I don't know how I managed to fit all of these tropicals (check out my previous posts I think under "Jungle") in a very small space. Yes Al, for very little care, in return these hibiscus give you lots of flowers everyday all year round.
