    Thank you everyone for looking.

Ron, the beauty of these plants is that they don't flower at all LOL ! They are Gymnosperms, they bear naked seeds, no flowers but male and female cones. If all goes well the plant can produce male cones in 3 to 4 years and female cones by 5-10 years. The tree planted by Sir. David Attenborough at Kew gardens in 2005 is producing cones now.

Good to know Cathy. Please post pictures if you have some. I love cycads. This November I will be visiting the Nong Nooch Botanical gardens in Thailand, they have the largest collection f Cycads in the world, I think I am going to go crazy there LOL

When I get back over to South Tampa, I will try and get photos. I'm looking for it on the 'net for you. This was in a large home in a very old part of Tampa. The collector was a doctor. He had plants that no one had. The yard, which is large, was a virtual palm/cycad jungle.

Thanks a lot Cathy, I am really loking forward to them, the virtual palm and cycad jungle would be a bliss for me. When I start my botanical garden, I am going to create a Jurassic garden that will feature cycads, ferns and palms.
