Hi, you did an amazing job!
I have a phal in pretty much the same situation as your was in (before you brought it back to life) and I am going to try you method. I just have a couple of questions; did you soak the sphag in water only or any rooting hormone like KLN? Also did you have them under lights?

Thank Jessica! I didn't use lights or rooting hormone. They were all the time by the south facing window in a cup that had wet moss (not touching the moss) inside a plastic bag... That was it!

Thanks Gabriel for sharing on how you saved your phals... I would try your method the next time one of my phals try to die on me again. hehehe! I am successful with my other orchids (neo, den., cymb., catt... etc.) except for phals... I think I've killed at least a couple dozens ... but I really do love them so I still try & buy them.

Congratulations to you!!! Keep us updated on how well your orchids are doing after you transplant them.
