Well It did take a lot of patience, but here it is. It is finally blooming now. Only one spike yet. The other spike is no where near blooming yet. No idea of the name as I did buy it without tag.
I'm excited for you! Very BEAUTIFUL blooms.

Thanks Cathy. It did take a lot of patience. It did take about 6 weeks till blooming point. Is that normal. Someone once told me that his did take about 4 weeks.
Willeke, Mine don't normally take that long. It might have to do with the climate and sun difference between Holland and Florida?
You have done an extremely good job in getting this to bloom. They can be challenging for some folks even in Florida to bloom. You should be very proud of yourself!
Thanks Cathy. I Guess it has to do with the lack of sun here. In April we did have a few hot weeks, but after that not much. So now I'm moving them around the house to where ever the sun is. It's just funny.
Willeke have you ever thought about supplementing with lights? You should talk to Naoki.
I guess that will be a good idea. Certainly for the winter. Thanks Cathy.
It finally bloomed for you! It was worth the wait it is a pretty one. Well done Vandagirl.
Well well Willeke, that is a very fine looking Vanda. Already the blooms look really full and saturated in a beautiful maroon/burgundy and fuschia pink....very nice!
Thanks Susie. It sure was a long wait.
