Looks like great fun! I have not seen a commercial orchid greenhouse since the 1970's. Vanda also stands for 'I bought and a, and a, and a'....................well you get the idea. AL

Was the first pic a Phal. gigantea in bloom. That's really small for a gigantea to bloom and the flower looked big too. Nice day. thanx for the pics.

All the photos look great Cathy! I think maybe we forgot to take a few others home My husband is kidding me about buying all the vandas but I think it was only a dozen or so? I didn't count them. I have some unnamed vandas and I think I am going to get rid of them since I have some nice ones now.

Charter is trying to figure out how to transport the greenhouse to Mississippi. He is going to look at the shadehouse for you again this morning.

That photo of the catt you gave me is terrific. I love catts like that!

That must have been a great trip. There's nothing better than to share an 'adventure' with a friend. And as you get to my age these shared moments become precious memories.I do miss my orchid sidekick who has moved to another town and all those jungle trips we used to take together. Any way I hope he can up to my place for a weekend and I have promised to take him to a nursery where he will be be species heaven(yes, he is a species nut).

Thanks a million for the great pictures. That is a huge nursery! For the first time with the new camera, just set the camera at 'P' for programme mode and fire away. No need to fiddle with all those buttons and knobs until you really know your camera and are more confident with it.

The greenhouses were were 3. All very large. Really only being used. The vandas are in a massive house that Zozzl..is buying. The one were all pictures were taken was full to the brim...many of the growers awarded plants.

Yew Sung, I can always count on you for advice. I'm so intimated by the camera. If I would have purchased this I would really be upset and not even being able to take a darn picture. I'm in the "point and shoot" mode until I can gain a little knowledge.

Wow, I am so jealous, my selection is a table at the local garden center. What a fabulous place but I'm wondering, how can you decide what to buy? So many choices, only so much room. Thanks so much.

Martha, I would join an orchid society in your area. I know there is one. You don't really have an growers in the boston area that advertise. If you join a club...you will find many orchids to purchase in your neck of the woods
