They should open more although sometimes low humidity will give them that cup shape. That's been my experience anyway.

My mom won this beautiful milt. for me at orchid bingo at a local orchid society picnic . It is Milt. Andy Eaton 'Kiwi' x Pluto 'Katie' AM/AOS. I have had it since sunday and the flowers haven't opened any more then they were when I got it. I am hoping that they will open fully, but mabey it takes a little bit of time for Milts? ( this is my first one). -Meg

I agree with Kev.
I just had a Milt bloom for me, but the flower wasn't flat. We were turning the A/C on and off- lack of humidity there.
I had the same happen . I agree about the humidity. I see it has more buds ,might be from the moving it around when those were developing Gin
