We can get pretty darn cold here in Florida (it got to 27 in my backyard in Riverview last winter and I'm south of Tampa). Normally you need to circulate the heat.
Are you just planing on putting it on the patio and sort of hoping for the best?

Does anyone use a propane patio heater to hold the temps up? This will be my first winter with the orchids. I'm in central FL and everything is in a screened in area.

I really don't have a plan! I saw a patio heater advertised and it planted a seed. I thought maybe someone may have used something like that. It can get cold here too and I do need to do something. Actually I'm hoping for a mild winter.
I don't know if this helps you, but I use a couple of the oil filled heaters that are electric to heat at the floor level in the greenhouse. THis keeps my gas bill down and since the heat rises, helps to maintain the temps all around the greenhouse due to the fans.
cheers,
