Waterlilies are beautiful things. The huge ones you photo'ed have incredibly wicked looking thorns on their undersides.

Don't they, though? Might explain the absence of bullfrogs sitting on them!

Beautifully captured Maura. Will try to catch your posts under the sep orchid sections. Always remember those huge (and lethal) giant lily pads iconically photographed with a young child sitting in the centre. Wonder where that was?. I think the man himself David Attenborough did the same. Looks like a fantastic place to get lost in.
