    Default Tolumnia 'Pink Panther'

My little Tolumnia 'Pink Panther' is now in bloom. I love this little guy and have decided that I need to grow more Tolumnias. I've had it about a year, growing it in a 1 inch clay pot with a piece or two of bark. I give it a few sprays of water daily and plenty of sun, enough to get a purple tint on the leaves. It has two spikes now, and this is the first to open. For reference, BD clarified the complicated lineage of this Tolumnia last year:

Since I've decided that I must grow more of these, I'd love to hear what are your favorite Tolumnias, species or hybrid.
    Thanks,
    Ken

Hi Ken...That tolumnia is very pretty! My favorite one has three spikes on it right now. It is called "Passionata Red " I grew it for several yrs. until it was large. It is in a clay pot filled with charcoal. I will post a picture when it is in bloom. Betty :-)

I have 4 different ones since last fall. The Popoki Mitzi has produced 2 spikes and is blooming. I am still not sure that I have the culture all figured out. I promised myself that I will not get any new ones until I see them all bloom. So please, don't tempt me! (I have been staring at pictures of Pink Panther and Tequila Sunrise excessively)

Ken - how pretty! I thought it was a Miltonia before I looked at your title. How big, or small, is the bloom, anyway? I've not ventured into Tolumnias yet, but there's always tomorrow.....
