One of my favorites. Nice blooming! Can you put a ruler next to it to compare?

I bought this plant back at the beginning of the year at the nursery in town. The gentleman had just finished repotting these and I was assured I would love the blooms. He was right...
When they finish opening I will update this post...oh and it smells atrocious! I figured I might as well find out...it's not as bad as a stinky Stapelia...but it's bad. lol

It's sure beautiful - and I'm awfully glad I can take your word on the fragrance!
Looking good.
Okay, went outside with the tape measure and could not get a good picture to save my life...sorry. Take my word for it, the flowers are 8 inches average...the longest was 8 1/2 inches. These flowers are hard to photograph period...for these two nice pics I have a dozen blurry ones.
Very nice blooms...ive never seen these before
I had a hard time getting a pic of mine as well...maybe it's that color combo. I didn't think mine smelled all that bad. Kinda like fresh fish. Of course, mine was indoors in much less light while it was in bloom! Your pics look great! I wouldn't post mine!

Really impressive. I have never grown these but really like them and admire the people who are successful with them.
Bill, you should try one. They are supposedly a 'starter' bulbo. I have one mounted and it is growing well so far despite my lack of humidity...but it does keep my spare time occupied with all the misting and soaking! I should have kept it in the basket! 'Lovely Elizabeth' is even more tolerant of cool temps than this one. It the 'EA' crossed with rothschildianum.
