    It looks like you got good size flowers for a Maxillaria tenuifolia. Love the shape and crimson coloration on this. AL

    It is a big clump and the flowers were a bit larger than I expected...just disappointed that I only got two blooms.

    Ours does the same thing, Jason. Not sure why. Don't you love the fragrance though!?! Beautiful orchid.

    Congratulations! Well done. I agree with Bruce for some reason they are stingy bloomers--at least mine is. Last year I had only 2 or 3 blooms. One nice thing about the blooms is they last a long time. You may be suprised with more blooms as the season progersses. Good Growing! A lot of people who grow them don't get 1 bloom let alone 2.

    Cin can make you jealous later when hers blooms, Jason. Mine hasn't bloomed yet this year but I typically only get two or three blooms as well. Just enjoy the scent.

    Jason, those two blooms are big enough to count for more, anyway! And the color is so vivid - gorgeous!
