December 2011 Member of the Month winner - Maura

It is with great pleasure I announce that Maura (mauraec) is OrchidTalk's Member of the Month for December 2011.

Maura has only been a member here in this community for a short time, but she has supported, encouraged, and helped so many of us that this award probably only comes as a surprise to her. Here are a few comments from the members who overwhelmingly voted that Maura should be December's OrchidTalk Member of the Month for 2011.

"...Bruce, I would like to nominate Maura for MOTM. There are several reasons for this: She has been a regular contributor to the forum. She got her first orchid in February this year and her collection has grown to over 60. She has won ribbons each time she has entered any plants in the Atlanta Orchid Society, winning 3 blues and a red with 4 plants the very first time she tried. She went to one AOS judging, then the next month entered some of her blooms and won an HCC for a Miltasia (sp). This is one of 3 awards given in a field of 40 or so plants........"

Congratulations Maura !!!!!!!!!. You truly deserve this honour. Love your interview.I consider you and Phillip as good friends of mine. I must say you've had your share of trials and tribulations and in the Forum you have come across as a brave and feisty lady. You remind me of my late Mom, who used to refer to herself as being ' able to ride the tiger and slay the dragon ' whenever she faced any difficulties. Wishing you and Phillip the best of everything.
