We have a staghorn on treefern that my partner bought at a show...money could have been spent on orchids! I do love it but would prefer it be on the sort of mount shown here or a wire box. Anyone with suggestions on how to move it is welcome to chime in! I agree that yours isn't a straight bifurcatum.

OK - you caught me! I was just so interested in this thread that when Geoff mentioned the orchid that would only grow..., I had to Google it then and there. That's how I came up with the name. BUT ... when I looked at Jay Pfahl's site, it had (of course) such a great-looking orchid that screams of a Christmas present. Check it out: IOSPE PHOTOS

Don't shoot me, but since they are like weeds that clog-up pots, I just pull them out and throw them out. Usually the leaves break off and the roots hang on. They are pretty tough. After it warms up, I could save some for sharing if time and energy allows.
