    Default Rlc. Memoria Shirley Moore "Newberry" HCC/AOS - playing with light and shadow

    I posted earlier versions of this as a Potinara - new name is Rhyncolaeliacattleya (is that right, Michael?). Anyway, the blooms are just starting to fade and turn much yellower, so I wanted to change around the lighting to see what I could come up with. Here are a couple of my experiments:

    I like the first shot. The viewing angle made for a more interesting picture while the subdued lighting allowed the shadows to better define the ripples in the petals.

    Maura, that last photo is amazing! I love how it is just off centre, meaning the flower is at an angle, not symmetrical. Beautiful!
