Default Questions for repotting Jewel orchid

I have a couple Jewel orchids and will be getting more. They are just a single growth, maybe 5" in height. I'm going to give a couple as gifts and would like to get them out of the spagh and into a new pot to adjust a lil before Christmas. I can't seem to find info on repotting them. How big of a pot can I go? Does depth matter? Or placement of the plant in the pot?

What's the name of the plant? Can you post a picture? If it's a gift I would let the receiver choose where and how to pot it. Ludisia discolor doesn't like to be re-potted for example.

Choose a sunny spot to place the plants to transplant them. Place Jewel orchid plants in a site receiving full sun (7 hours or more daily). Jewel orchid need lots of warm sunshine for optimum taste.

I don't have any pictures today but could take some tomorrow. I only have 1 set of the plants so far. Ludisia discolor x Anoectochilus formosanus. Ludisia (dark form) I don't have yet.
Unfortunately they have to come out of the spagh with my growing conditions. Plus the person I want to give these to isn't familar with them and won't know how to repot anyway. I'd rather try to get them adjusted now so I can be sure they will be good to go. If not I will have time to find a back up.

I make my own terrestrial orchid mix. I mix coconut chips, perlite, peat moss and small charcoal chips. I sift all to make a very fine mix. Proportions are up to your growing conditions. It still holds quite a lot of humidity so you should experiment first. A plastic pot filled to the rim with moist media placed in your growing area, no plants, and observe for drying and compacting. If it "follows" your watering regimen you are clear. I also use this mix for ferns.
Both Ludisia and Anaectochilus like moist conditions and do better when they overgrow their container so start small.
    I hope this can help.

Nice looking plants, look very helthy and ready to bloom. Looks like 2" plastic cup. I would go to 4" shallow (azalea) pot.
