Louis,
This question must drive you insane but when is the spell check coming back?
English is not my first lenguage and it's nice to be able to correct my spelling when I post.
Hm...maybe I'm just over looking the spell check button??
English, well the american bastardized version of it, is my first language and I try to always use spell check.
Wolf - it's called Ameriglish, as opposed to English, Austrailish, New Zealish, and Canadish.......
Also ,if you click on the spell check icon in the right upper corner of the text box, it says you can download a spell check program. I did that just for, well just to see if it worked. It did download a program and it does seem to work. Course, I may have just infected my machine, I'll have to run my security software now.....
Well, neither anti virus or anti spyware nor anti adware programs found anything after installing the spell checker....
Hey, I looked into the spell check and found that it only works with IE. For those of us using Firefox, we are out of luck for now. My guess is that one is being developed. Thanks, Diane for pointing out the spell check for IE users.
Cheers!
BD
They've developed a new plugin system for the forums, so it won't be long until third party developers come up with all kinds of nifty add-ons. Unfortunately, the old spell check I hacked in is completely incompatible with this new version, so as Diane and Bruce said, if you use Internet Explorer, a spell check icon will be available in the upper right corner of a text input box from which you can download and install Microsoft's spell check for IE. That won't be available if you're using any other browsers, though.
drat I use either netscrape or the foxy one so I'm out o luck I guess.
Happy fourth to everyone.
lol!
Happy fourth, Wolf.
aha...thnx for the explanation.
I always use firefox but I believe I still have IE somewhere
