Default Receiving Phalaenopsis bastianii in the mail on Wednesday - advice please

I bought myself a little New Year's present, but I need some advice/tips on what to do once it come. It's a Phalaenopsis bastianii in a 2.5" pot. It's being mailed with a heat pack. The seller recommended I water it as soon as it comes, due to drying from the heat pack.

Assuming it looks healthy what should I do with the little guy. Nothing? Re-pot?

If it looks poor I know I need to take it out of the pot and see what's going on with the roots, etc. If there is rot I know to clean. Should I use sulfur or Physan 20 or hydrogen peroxide?

What medium should I use if I re-pot? I have medium and course bark mixes. Should I water it?

Ive heard just soak it in %5-6 Hydro peroxide, some people dilute about 2tsp of it in 500ml water. Either that or soak it in KMnO4-mix 1-2 grains-ONLY GRAINS not a whole teaspoon- with 1l water

As for the medium, guys at the local OS always use a medium grade (here it would be grade 2) orchid pine bark, or they mix 1 part chopped sphagnum with 2 parts bark, and then they maybe add half a cup of styrofoam packing pellets.

Good luck Bob looking forward your plant soon.
If the plant severely dehydrated another technique you can soak into the water just for about 30 minutes, usually it will recover very fast. Don't spray with the fungicide unless really indicated.

just let it sit there for a while Gary and get used to the environment to prevent additional stress to the plant.
