RFH Custom image uploading for avatars?

I wish to upload an image for my avatar. I can't seem to figure out how to do this. I can select one of the existing ones offered, or choose no avatar at all, but I cannot do a photo of my own. Yet, many of you have images in your avatars that are not among the ones offered so it must be possible. Help please.

you cant have one. Something about the code that limits users that start with the letter "L" totally wierd. I have been complaining to management for years about this. They just get hostile when I bring it up now.





ok, so I am just messing with ya. If you go into your profile/private message area on the left hand side there is an area where you can click on edit profile. Then there is an option to edit avatar. If you scroll to the bottom of that page there is an option to upload an image from your computer.

This is SO weird! Unless I'm losing my mind (not entirely out of the question!), the option you spoke of wasn't there. Key word: "wasn't"! In frustration I hurled my computer through my window! (Metaphorically speaking.) In reality, I logged out and went for a walk around the room and took a few deep breaths. I decided to give it one last try. I logged in again and this time the option to upload from the computer was there where you said it should be. As I say, I swear that option wasn't there before! OK, I've lost my mind and since he did it to mess with my mind, IT'S ALL FORREST'S FAULT!!! Just kidding, thank you, Forrest, for your help.

It's out of the bag now. Let it be noted on the record that Lark has lost her mind! LOL

All kidding aside, I suspect the reason why you couldn't access that feature was you had not yet posted enough. After replying, then logging out, and going back in, you had enough posts to access the additional features. (I recall someone else having the same kind of issues when they were new--I think the magic watershed is five posts.)

Which happens to a lot of us orchidholics...... although I prefer to go to the Catts.... LOL
