Good morning ya’ll!
Starting my collection with some of the basics (I think), I’m so excited I want a little bit of everything!
From left to right:
Wils. Firecracker 'Red Star' HCC/AOS
Phrag. Cape Sunset
Neof. falcata var. Amami
Den. Amethystoglossum
Catttleya bowringiana
Cattleya maxima
Cattleya skinneri 'Heiti Jacobs' FCC/AOS , CCE/AOS
Thanks for looking!
Nice going!! Those orchids look so great!

Congrats! In reference to the large Cattleya, I am always so impressed at how some people can manage to make large Cattleyas grow "neatly" in a pot. I also like you have hung your Spanish moss. I have been trying to think of something for growing mine, I was going to string up a clothes line or something similar, but hadn't thought of just hanging them on hooks, duh. I think I'll put some nails in my fence.
Hi from Atlanta, Valery! An impressive, and challenging starting collection! Even more impressive is your potting bench - which is the same one I have! However, due to various circumstances, mine lives in the living room, while yours seems to be situated in a more appropriate location. I'm loving it - lots of storage and plenty of places to put things - although I could probably use about 4 of them at this point. Wait until your collection REALLY gets going.
Maura
PS - I'll post a photo of mine once I clear off all the not-so-pretty fungicides and tools and other debris.
Hello Valery. Very impressive 'starters'.
Excellent collection
Hi Valery nice collection so healthy the plants.Zain
Thank you all! Ever since I started reading around this forum I've been learning a lot! And I wanted to start with some of the ones that started it all (the obsession I mean and some that are just too pretty to pass).
I have four more coming in the mail this Friday and that should keep me for a while (hopefully).
They are:
Phal. stuartiana 'Sogo' HCC/AOS
Paph. niveum
Vasco. Viboon Velvet 'Puffy Cloud' AM/AOS and
Odcdm. Tiger Crow 'Golden Gate' HCC/AOS
Thank you so much for your kind words and I'll definitely post some pictures if I can get anyone of them to bloom!
Wow, what a collection!
You've really caught the orchid fever! Congrats on the selection of your new plants - great choice.
