It arrived with one spike of about 4 buds...and has added another spike for a mind boggling 9 buds up top this plant. The buds have a shiny surface that has been fun to watch develop. I can't wait to see how all these buds are going to open their petals. When the flower opens the lip is light orange, but within a day the lip becomes vivid orange.
Lovely lip!
Ok,did you get one that I missed from our favorite supplier? Lol Love this one and must look for it. Thank you for being such a great enabler. In case you didn't get my pm our grower is going to be at the show this weekend.
I saw that...and would love to be there. I just don't travel well these days....otherwise me and the set of bins would be on my way down. It's okay, my greenhouse can't handle too many more sales or i'm going to have to start selling pieces to clear space too. Please tell our friends I send my greetings.
A wondeful Dendrobium Connie. IT seems to be quite a bloomer. AL
Very lovely!
Very cool dendrobium orchid bloom! Love the orange lip!
cheers,

Wow - I wouldn't have guessed this was a den. at all - even though there's such a vast array of different types. It almost looks like a catt to me - absolutely gorgeous - and I love your photo of the line-up!
Thank You, I was like you...the flower looks way more cattleya, the way they grow...the size...it's a very unusual dendrobium for me as well. And it has these tiny black hairs growing on the pbulb so it feels fuzzy. The "line up" is my area for plants growing spikes too tall for the shelves. It gives me a smile everytime I go in there.
Awesome blooms Connie !
