    Default Bulbophyllum grandiflorum

When my Bulbophyllum decides to call for a strike on flowering, this little lovely Bulbophyllum will not disappoint you in any way, sending out multiple blooms throughout the year...haha....strictly speaking, this plant is a profuse grower and a sequential bloomer...a must have if you have too many seasonal bloomers....

    Bulbophyllum grandiflorum Blume 1847

    Cheers
    Vincent

They are almost too cool for photos! The spots are transluscent...I read somewhere that they are there to confuse insects. Last night, I was showing my partner how the lip moved in the breeze....he immediately commented that the lip fit into the upper part perfectly, 'like a puzzle piece'.Posted via Mobile Device

Lovely species. It blooms any time of the year but it is not a sequential bloomer. Each spike will only have one flower.

That is not called 'sequential'. Sometimes it is a good thing to be a bit more technical...
