Blc. Booth Lee 'Venice' is a combination of Bc. Maikai (B. nodosa x C. bowringiana) x Lc. Jalapa (C. guttata x L. milleri).
This one is very fragrant. It actually received an HCC/AOS in 2010 at the Venice Area Orchid Show. However, the owner of the orchid did not pay for the award so it was nullified.

Bruce, It is not quite as red and the photo suggests. It has a slightly more aubergine cast. But thank you. I think it is a beauty.
Excellant!
A beautifully coloured catt. Just love that contrasting lip with those cute freckles. WOW>
Charming and yummy.
That is so pretty! I like how the spotting is only on the lip
Thank you
The spikes have always been very erect and requires no staking. The plant on the other hand is tall and floppy. It finally looked a little better after it grew into a fern basket. It still is a messy looking plant in my opinion.
Absolutely gorgeous colors (even if it's more aubergine in real life) - and fragrant too! I'm always looking for the fragrant one and, at least where I am, they're relatively hard to find. (I can't believe the owner didn't pay the nominal fee for the award - I've paid mine, but am still waiting for the certificate.)
Cathy I hope you have the state of the art security system and a few rabid pitbulls and rottweilers to guard this beauty or else I am going to steal it LOL !
A perfect combination of color, form and substance that a waxy Cattleya can have for me !!!
