Hi Tucker, you must have a lot of space to put up that lighting set up.
I would love to see some of the photos you have taken, but another useful tip would be to try taking the same shots with the brollies facing in the other direction. This would give you less light shine on the orchids, and less shadow. Trust me, the lights will bounce back nicely from the brollies and you will still get a nice depth of field. You might also want to play around with a silver brolly if you have one. Another tip if you really want to get artistic and can afford a third light. One light with a lower light emission than the main set, placed below and behind the subject and pointing up at it will make the black background really black and will make the subject stand out beautifully.
