    Default Orchid Pollen Storage Unit

I just wanted to share a funny picture of my pollen storage in the refrigerator. Previously, only my insect collecting hobby had encroached into the kitchen, with specimens in the freezer awaiting pinning . . . Any doubt about my geek credentials?

I actually picked up a drawer thing like this and a mini fridge for this and to keep some of the fresh foods for my fish in it.

Orchid pollen can be stored for short periods under household refrigeration but successful long-term storage without degradation requires sub-zero or cryogenic methods.
