It could be a new emerging leaf, but we cannot be sure, unless we see a photo, I think in the excitement, you forgot to attach it

My little Valentine's gift Phal has been through a lot... When I first received it, it had a white spot on one of the leaves, which turned out to be cold shock, and the leaf had to be removed... Then the other leaves started showing signs of distress... and fell off, except the biggest leaf... It has developed some ridging close to the crown, but otherwise seems healthy (any suggestions?)... Now, I'm almost ready to jump up and down for joy, I just need confirmation from those who are NOT first-timers lol...
In the very center of the plant, coming out of the wound made when I removed the leaf with cold shock (I dusted with cinnamon after cutting) is a tiny dark growth... I've attached pictures... I believe this might be a new leaf???? I am waiting and prepared to do the 'Happy Dance'... as I ALSO believe that if it IS a new leaf, I just might have finally outgrown my 'Brown-Thumb' lol... Please share your thoughts with me, and THANK YOU to those whose advice has gotten me this far!!
