Zain, I plant the begonias in sphagnum/charcoal/sponge rock inside the domes. The sphag. stays moist enough that I don't water very much. Most of the gesneriads that aren't in domes are wicked. The lights stay on 12 hours a day. There two 2 lamp fixture per shelf (T8).

Just to show you last year I posted this small Begonia under "wild orchids"as depicted the first photo I thought it is small plant now you see is very huge grow them under the orchids I'm not sure the name of this species just have a look.

I am not sure. It might be B. holttumii, or B. wrayi.

may I mention that I had found B. pavonina in Sarawak / Borneo.

Cathy is right: B. pavonina is endemic in Cameron Highlands. My Borneo- plant is a different species.
