    Default Shade cloth application

This idea is simple , for shade cloth instead of having to get on the roof , I bought 2 long pieces of PVC and attatched the cloth to them , the shade cloth is rolled to the center on them, tied together . slid on top of the ridge pole and untied ,then the PVC. is tied down to the green house . One person can do it by moving the ladder to one side then another . It would also work for clear plastic in case of a cold snap , ref: Curious Georges post . Gin

Hmmmm one could go one further fix it up similar to a roll up window shade where if you pull on a rope or string or chain it rolls up on the pvc pipe that you attach to the bottom... Just a thought. Not sure if that applies but would make it possible to do and undo with one person on one end no ladder required. You could even do multiple rollers so that you have shade cloth as well as plastic for cold snaps. Hmmm facinating idea....

I thought of attatching the rollers to 2 small electric motor , mounted on each end of the ridge pole . But how could they be kept dry ? Gin

    Thumbs up

I like the idea of roll-up plastic for the sides of my pergolas when it gets cold. In the near future, if I can get something practical working, I'll post pictures. Thanks!
