one thing i like about this particular plant so far that it manage to produce at least a spike on every growth. but for this round, the spike is not very showy cause i busted the roots with some disinfectant during the active growing phase. only mild fragrance noted with this one,
no intention of tearing the flower apart but somehow those insect just couldn't leave the flowers alone, even on the first day. well, might as well do some learning rather than putting the flower to waste, anyway it's gonna wither by tomorrow.
i am not sure if i got all the names of the flower parts correctly, if there is any error, please point it out. thanks
Nice botanical illustration style photo !
Agree with Amey.
thanks, seen some botanical drawings on catasetum in the net, so just thought of doing something similar, hands on. in fact quite love the idea of this and perhaps will do on every single type of catasetum i had in my collection in the future. would love a compilation of this for my own references.
The writing are too small especially age more than 40 years old need to make it bigger Ian.Very nice one.
