    This was the first method used to germinate orchid seed. Discovered quite by accident at the time.
    It is usually a low success method but will occasionally work.

    Later when flasking was discovered, hybridising evolved and the success rate went through the roof.

    It's nice to see your success. I just started to germinate orchids on my own, your photos - despite different germination methods - encourages me.
