Hello everyone
so in about 2 weeks my plants from Germany should arrive
I red the Paph Lowii, needs some calcium in the growing media, since in nature it is growing on lime stone
So I have some oister shells
My question is how much oister shell shall I put in the media, should I miw t in, or leave t on the surface?
the plant is young, an about to reach blooming size in 2 years
Thanks ahead for the answers

I mix mine in the medium. A friend of mine uses crushed cockle shells as top dressing. I can see no appreciable difference in the health or growth of the plants.
thank you
could you tell for one young plant how much should I use?
For seedlings we cover the top of the media when first potting them up. This way when we water, the water flushes through the shell. JMHO.
cheers,
BD
Thanks a lot
