I really like the flower shape of these and P. mannii. Nice strange little things. I understand a local place is working on breeding with some of these 'bow-legged' species to get hybrids which retain the shape a bit.

One I saw a month or so ago was almost translucent in the areas between the burgundy bars...very unusual...
Congratulations! Those little mittens that the first blooms come from DO look a bit odd...love it! Mine's turning out a slightly darker color than I expected, too.
