Default My own little orchid hunt

I went out yesterday in between a rainy morning and afternoon thunderstorms and found some of our native slippers. I took a few photographs, I'm not sure how good they are. The mosquitos were ravenous, so it was difficult to stand still long enough to really get a good look. They were very beautiful, and it was nice to see them growing in a piney area I'd not seen them last year. Anyway, here are a few pics! Enjoy!

Gorgeous pics, Heather! I love cyps and one of these days, I'll find some while tramping around a new fishing hole...(but then again, this is NJ).

Thanks! I was really happy to find them, and in a little sun, to boot.

It was a rather uncomfortable walk, but worth it!
