Looks so cool, Cathy. I like vandas with split color blooms like this. The bottom petals look like they are dipped in velvet! Wonderful!!

    cheers,

    Ditto to above comments.

The color looks so intense. As much as I like fragrant Vandas, I do like those dinner plate Vandas.

Absolutely beautiful! I love those sanderiana types but I don't have one yet. Those are excellent photographs also.

Thanks everyone. I quit collecting these big guys a few years ago. They grow massive and are space hogs. Most of the ones I have are old like Arabella Cummings and Lenavat.

That is an absolutely eye-popping,drop-dead gorgeous pink vanda, Cathy!!!!! I love the V Lenavat crosses and used to have a few of them. Unfortunately they seem to be out of favour nowadays. Thanks for posting pictures of one of my all-time favourites.

BTW congratulations for the excellent photos!

Thanks Yew Sung. I agree they are out of fashion. But they are foundation plants that were used for breeding many of the modern day hybrids. They are hard to come by now days.

Gabriela, I've seen that cross. It will look sort of similar to this one.. My plant is old and big with several offsets. I would guess about 5 foot tall.
