    Default Phal Bellina to bloom????

    My Phal Bellina has had a spike for some time - now it has a bud..... Been here before... hoping it makes it this time. I have never gotten a bloom before.

    It took mine a long time to bloom from the start of the spike.
    The first bud blasted but the second was/is fine , approx 3 1/2 months from spiking to first flower forming & another 2 months for the next bud to open.

    Make sure you take a photo if it blooms!

    Hey Diane, I don't know what the humidity is in your growing area, but maybe you should try raising it just a little.
    I also noticed under lower humidity conditions the flowers don't last too long

    Once it blooms for you Diane, you should see one flower after the next for a few months. The spike grows very slowly, but the wait is worth it when you get to smell the fragrance. I'll bet, like Alessandra said, if you can raise the humidity a bit, it will do better. We grow ours accross from the cool pads so it gets fairly high humidity.
