    Default Need Help and Advice PAPHIOPEDILUM HSINYING WEB "GIANT" X PAPH PULSAR HSINYING HOME

    Tve just brought this so wont get it till Saturday comming..Can some one tell me about the Paph and if possible post a photo here on how the blooms would look like..Ive seached all over but cannot find a pic that can show me how it looks in bloom..So be very greatful for any pics

    Seems the person i brought it from,didnt spell the name right...proper name is Paph hsinying Web Giant x Paph Pulsar hsinying Flame. ( SM/TPS )

    interesting how you bought the plant without to know what the bloom look like.i wait to see the picture when it bloom Clive.

    Well the person did not spell the name right and thought it is home..but it is flame..Ive been looking for the bloom for ages so i checked the info on the tag and it says flame not home haha...i do have a pic now lol.When it grows and blooms i will take some pics hehe.The bloom should look like this one

    It looks like you found a picture of Paph Pulsar, which indeed is about what your plant should look like when it flowers as Pulsar is a parent on one side and a grandparent on the other, though it could look more like a typical Maudiae-type without the spotting on the petals or could be a darker vinicolor type. The cross of Paph. Hsinying Web x Paph. Pulsar has not been registered so the long name you were given is the best you can do. Correct notation: Paph. Hsinying Web 'Giant' x Paph. Pulsar 'Hsinying Flame' SM/TPS. It should be a vigorous easy grower.
